Valley City Supply specializes in custom cut stone fabrication and engraving for both residential homes and commercial businesses.  Each piece is custom and hand-crafted for you by our Master Stone Fabricator, using only the highest quality natural stone derived from the earth.  Our team of masonry professionals will work with you directly and help you choose the right type of stone for your project, as well as assist you with lettering and design customization.

STONE ENGRAVING FAQs

  • What is the cost of engraving?

    The cost of engraving varies upon the length of your desired inscription, desired letter height, and the type of stone that is being engraved.  For custon engraving on slabs and boulders - such as entryway boulders - the minimum shop fee is $300 (including material).  Address stones and pet memorials DO NOT have a minimum order.  


    PLEASE NOTE:  The cost of engraving DOES NOT include the cost of the stone/boulder or any delivery fees.  The cost to purchase a limestone/sandstone typically used in address stones is $28/sqft.  The cost to purchase a boulder typically used for entryways are $.10 to $.20 per pound.

  • Do I have to purchase a stone/boulder from you or can you engrave my own?

    You may purchase a stone/boulder from us to engrave or we can engrave one that you already have.  The cost to purchase limestone/sandstone address stone is typically around $28 per sqft.  The cost to purchase a boulder typically used for entryways is around $.10 to $.20 per pound.


    PLEASE NOTE:  We DO NOT engrave on site.  You will need to bring the stone/boulder to our stone shop for it to be engraved.  Please also keep in mind that we cannot unload any stone over 2 tons or 4,000 pounds.

  • Will you come to my home or business and engrave my stone?

    No.  All engravings are done on site at our stone shop.  If you already have a stone or boulder that you want engraved, you may bring it to our shop.  Please note that we cannot unload any stone over 2 tons or 4,000 pounds.

  • Where is your stone fabrication shop located?

    Valley City Supply is located in Northeast Ohio and all stone engravings are produced locally out of our custom fabrication shop and supply yard.

  • Do you offer delivery?

    Yes, we offer delivery.  If you choose not to pickup your order from our shop, we will give a quoted price to deliver your engraved stone.


    PLEASE NOTE:  Out of state deliveries need to go by LTL Freight which can be expensive.

  • Do you accept out of state orders?

    We do accept out of state address stone and smaller memorial stone orders.  You will be given a shipping cost along with the cost of your engraving.


    For entryway signs or boulders - while we can accept and complete your project, these stones are very heavy and need to be shipped via LTL Freight - which can be very expensive.  If you are out of state and do choose to order with us, we will give you an estimated LTL shipping cost along with your engraving quote.
