FAQs

Have a question you don't see below?  Simply complete the form on the Contact Us page and we'll be happy to assist you.  We look forward to working with you!

  • I am not a contractor. Can I still purchase products from you?

While our primary customer focus and product offering is catered towards landscape professionals, masons, remodeling contractors, and builders, we are open to the public and sell to retail customers who are looking to improve and remodel the interior or exterior of their home or outdoor living.  Because most of the products we sell are labor intensive and require construction knowledge and tools, we highly encourage and recommend the hiring of a professional contractor to install your project.  We are happy to recommend one of our partner professionals to you if you need help finding a contractor.

  • Do you offer installation?

Due to insurance liability, we do not offer installation services or provide installation instructions.  Depending on the product you purchase, some manufacturers will have installation guidelines and/or instructions that will come with the product or on their website.  Our project curators can offer installation tips and advice to make sure you have the products needed; however, it is your responsibility to know or seek out/research the proper installation methods and procedures for your project and your individual home/landscape.

We always recommend and highly encourage that you hire a professional contractor to install your project(s) and we are more than happy to offer assistance with helping you find a professional contractor or qualified mason to design, install, or repair your project.  Any contractor we recommend has been vetted by us and one we consider a reliable business partnership.  So you can feel safe knowing that your project is in the hands of a true professional company!

  • Do I need to make an appointment to visit your showroom?

Showroom appointments are reserved for customers who are working with a professional contractor or builder.

If you are a DIY'er, you are more than welcome to visit our showroom without an appointment.  Depending on the time of year you visit, there may not be a project curator available to assist you.  You are welcome to walk through both our indoor and outdoor showrooms on your own. Our indoor showroom includes our stone veneer sample library, grills, tile, brick samples, Barnwood fireplace mantels, and much more!  In our outdoor showroom, you'll find our paver and wall block displays nestled near our water feature gardens, along with outdoor fireplace and fire pit displays.

  • I am a DIY'er homeowner. What advice or best practices do I need to know before ordering my products?

To help your make your project more successful and less stressful, here are some great tips and ordering best practices to know prior to placing your order!

    PRODUCT OVERAGE

It’s standard practice to order 10% overage on most products.  Reasons for ordering product overage can include unintentional miscalculations with your square/linear footage, last minute changes to project scope and design, or unforeseen obstacles or complications that may arise when you begin installation. Because manufacturer lead times may vary throughout the year, the product you purchased may not be immediately available, and to avoid any delays to your project, it is best to order more than what you need.

    PRODUCT BREAKAGE

Two percent (2%) product breakage is deemed acceptable by most manufacturers.  Due to reasons beyond our control or the control of our suppliers, product breakage can sometimes occur during packaging, handling, and shipping of the products.  Because of this, most suppliers will not replace any broken products unless it exceeds 2% of the ordered quantity.  Example: If you purchase 8 boxes of stone veneer, the supplier will not replace any broken pieces if it is less than 2% of your total order.  This is another reason why we always recommend ordering 10% overage.

    RESTOCKING FEE

There is a 20% restocking fee on all returned material.  It is your responsibility to confirm that the products/material you are ordering is correct, including product type, color, and quantity.

    THE CHOICE IS YOURS

You’re about to make an investment in your home.  And while our project curators can help you with design and product recommendations, the decision on the look of your project and your final product selection is yours.  Throughout our website, you will find a multitude of inspirational pictures of completed projects to aide in giving you a better idea of what a product could look like in your home or landscape.

  • Are all of your products in stock?

Our 7,000 sqft warehouse and surrounding supply yards allow us to keep a large majority of the products we sell in stock.  However, there are products that are considered "special order" that we do not keep in stock.  These products may include specific types of stone veneer, brick, tile, and certain pavers/wall block.  Special order lead time varies depending on that particular product manufacturer and time of year.  Custom-crafted products - such as Barnwood fireplace mantels and box beam covers, stone engravings and fabrication, outdoor furniture, and outdoor structures - are all considered "special order".

If you know that your project has a short timeframe, please let your project curator know upfront so that they can recommend only those products we have in stock.

  • What is Color Variation?

Products such as pavers, wall block, stone veneer, brick, tile, and any natural stone product can all have a variation in color compared to our physical samples and images on our website.  These color variations can be attributed to that not all products come from the same manufacturer plant or the same product run as where the physical sample came from.  Color variation should be expected especially with natural landscape stone and natural stone veneer.  These are products of nature and derived from the earth, and their color will vary depending on the quarry the stone was extracted from, when it was quarried, or it’s native geographical region.

To help avoid "color chunks" when installing patio pavers or stone veneer, it's best practice to mix and pull pieces from different boxes or pallets/layers during installation.  This will allow for a better blend of colors throughout your project.

Any product deemed a "stock product" can be returned and is subject to a 20% restocking fee.

    JOB SITE PICKUPS

Job site pickup returns are subject to a minimum pickup fee of $150 as well as a 20% restocking fee.  Pickup fee is determined by the job site distance from our showroom.
