Relationship Sales Representative

We are currently seeking a Relationship Sales Representative, a member of the Valley City Supply sales team, that would be responsible for the direct sales of construction supplies to potential and existing customers. This position is responsible for all aspects of sales, lead generation and pipeline building, qualifying target opportunities, managing the sales cycle, closing orders, and following through to until completion. The Relationship Sales Representative also maintains the Vision, Mission and Values of the company.

Sales

  • Gain prospective customers in territory
  • Develop and set specific and measurable sales targets on a monthly and annual basis
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities for the assigned territory
  • Develop and maintain a sales strategy for the assigned territory
  • Maintain a personal level of expertise of product line and competitive solutions.
  • Develop customer lead activity through showroom, telephone, and onsite commercial customer visitations
  • Participates in all sales and other trainings as well as train and help other sales team members increase their sales
  • Participates in special projects and promotional campaigns under the direction of the company, including attendance at industry events and tradeshows
  • Reports daily activities and sales results to Manager
  • Following the company’s policies and procedures at all times and bringing the manager's attention to any areas of concern

Customer Service

  • Liaison with customers to understand their requirements with respect to products and services that the business currently offers or is planning to offer
  • Establishes personal relationships with current and potential customers in the assigned territory
  • Serves as a helpful expert in exceeding customer expectations on a regular basis

Position Requirements & Benefits

  • At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in sales/customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Strong prospecting and business development skills as well as organized tracking
  • Construction industry experience a plus
  • Must be technology savvy with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Office 365 and easily adapt/learn new programs
  • Hubspot CRM/Sales software experience a plus but not required
  • Full-time with additional time and a half for overtime hours
  • Most schedules will include occasional ½ day on Saturdays
  • Causal dress (Yes, you can wear jeans to work!)
  • Medical benefits after 60 days
  • Paid vacation time

Sales & Customer Service Representative

We are now hiring for a Sales & Customer Service Representative. A friendly, flexible, and outgoing person is needed to help with internal sales, customer service, and assisting customers in the showroom in a fast-paced work environment. As a valued team member, you should enjoy helping others and possess strong computer skills with the ability to learn and adapt quickly to situations and technology. Specific tasks include inside sales and customer service, working with new and existing customers with ordering and helping them make product selections in our showroom, lead generation follow up, estimating, and ordering products. As an emotionally mature, achievement-oriented, independent person, you will enjoy setting and reaching new goals. Job duties will change as needed.

Position Requirements & Benefits:

  • Assisting customers in our showroom with product selection
  • Construction industry or project management experience a plus
  • At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in sales/customer service
  • Multitasking and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Creativity and innovative thinking

PAID SALES INTERNSHIP - SUMMER 2019

As an intern, you will get valuable hands-on sales and customer service experience working on our showroom floor, where you will interact and gain knowledge working with both residential and commercial customers.  You will assist in day-to-day sales support and customer service activities, perform sales support functions to provide the highest level of service and customer satisfaction, and create customer, supplier, and internal relationships.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Currently enrolled and pursing a Bachelor's Degree in Business or other related sales degree
  • Available to work 35-40 hours/week, including Saturdays, starting in May or June
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize based on opportunities and effectively multi task
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) with the ability to easily learn new computer software (e.g. CRM/Sales service software Hubspot)
  • Customer service and detail-oriented mind set
  • Effective time management abilities
  • Sales training a plus but not a requirement
  • $12-15 /hour
  • Casual dress (Yes, you can wear jeans to work!)

LOCAL DRIVER - CLASS A CDL

Come join our family-owned company and be home with your family on the evenings and weekends! We are looking to hire a dedicated driver with a Class A CDL to travel to Cincinnati, Cleveland, and local vicinity.  We offer good pay, health insurance, and well-maintained trucks.  Two (2) years prior driving experience required. Moffett experience a plus. Successful candidates must a have a good driving record, current/valid DOT Medical Card, and are able to pass a drug test.
